La Pariser Platz se trouve dans le centre de Berlin dans le quartier de Dorotheenstadt, à l'extrémité ouest de l'avenue Unter den Linden, précédant ainsi la Porte de Brandebourg.
La place est ainsi nommée en souvenir de l’occupation de Paris par les armées de la Sixième Coalition en 1814.
