Le Steigerkopf, couramment appelé Schänzel, près de la ville d'Edenkoben dans le district de Südliche Weinstraße en Rhénanie-Palatinat, est une montagne de 613,6 m au-dessus du niveau de la mer dans la forêt palatine. Au sommet, qui fait partie de la forêt domaniale de Gommersheim, se dresse la tour Schänzel.
Le Steigerkopf se situe dans le parc naturel de la forêt palatine, dans la zone orientale de la chaîne de montagnes éponyme. Son sommet s'élève à environ 7 km à l'ouest-nord-ouest de la ville d'Edenkoben, à l'extrémité occidentale d'un groupe de montagnes toutes élevées à plus de 600 m ; à 4 km au nord-est se trouve la plus haute montagne de la forêt palatine, la Kalmit.
