Le Weilburger Schiffstunnel est le seul tunnel maritime d’Allemagne. Le tunnel de 195 m de long passe du nord au sud sous le Mühlberg, sur lequel se trouve la ville de Weilburg, coupant ainsi un méandre de la Lahn de 2 km de long autour de Weilburg. Le tunnel a été construit entre 1844 et 1847. Actuellement, les tunnels ferroviaires et routiers sont également parallèles au tunnel de navigation.
