La réserve naturelle de Schlangenberg est située à l’ouest de l’Allemagne, près de la frontière néerlandaise et belge. La réserve se trouve près du village de Breinigerberg, à 15 kilomètres d’Aix-la-Chapelle ou à 7 kilomètres de la ville de Stolberg. Schlangenberg lui-même est une petite colline culminant à 276 m au-dessus du niveau de la mer.
