La caserne Von-Seydlitz à Kalkar/Uedem sur le Beginenberg est une caserne de la Bundeswehr et sert de quartier général pour le Centre des opérations aériennes. Elle porte le nom du général de cavalerie prussien Friedrich Wilhelm von Seydlitz.
Depuis 1969, Kalkar est un site de la Bundeswehr. Dans la caserne Von-Seydlitz, dans le quartier d'Altkalkar, se trouvent des bureaux de la Luftwaffe et de l'OTAN, notamment le Centre des opérations aériennes, le groupe de soutien de la Luftwaffe Kalkar, la zone de soutien à la direction 3, le centre de soins médicaux Kalkar et le Centre de compétence en puissance aérienne conjointe.
