Du fin du XIe au début du XIIe siècle, l'église a été construite en tant que basilique à trois nefs avec un plafond plat. Au milieu du XIIIe siècle, l'abside semi-circulaire a été remplacée par un chœur gothique à cinq pans au-dessus d'une crypte. Le carré du chœur et les chœurs latéraux ont été voûtés, et le portail occidental élargi. Dans la seconde moitié du XVe siècle, la nef centrale a été voûtée et la sacristie a été achevée en 1486. Le carré du chœur a été relié aux chœurs latéraux, et les nefs latérales ont été avancées jusqu'à la façade de la tour.
