Le Monzenbach est un affluent de 4,5 km de la Aar, un sous-affluent de la Dill. Il prend sa source dans la forêt de Schelder au sud, sur le flanc du Wickenhain, puis coule d'abord entre le quartier d'Oberscheld de Dillenburg et le quartier de Seelbach de Herborn en direction ouest, puis sud, autour du versant nord et ouest du Volpertsberg de l'Aar. Avant de se jeter dans l'Aar, il traverse la zone de Seelbach. Le ruisseau se jette dans l'Aar au km 19,1 à une altitude de 214 m au-dessus du niveau de la mer.
