La bibliothèque municipale de Detmold est la bibliothèque communale de la ville de Detmold. Elle est située depuis 1985 dans le bâtiment néoclassique au 5 Leopoldstraße, qui était à l'origine le siège du Leopoldinum, le plus ancien gymnase de Detmold.
Le prédécesseur de la bibliothèque municipale était la bibliothèque de l'association éducative de Detmold. L'association, fondée en 1881, a mis dès le départ une bibliothèque à disposition de ses membres, qui a également pu être utilisée par le public à partir de 1909. Le stock de livres a été acquis par la ville en novembre 1935 et est passé en avril 1940 entre les mains du gouvernement régional. Sa localisation est inconnue.
