Le Maar de Schalkenmehrener est un maar situé à environ trois kilomètres au sud-est de la ville de Daun dans l'Eifel. Juste à côté se trouve le village de Schalkenmehren.
Il fait partie des soi-disant Maars de Daun - groupe), même si les trois maars se trouvent sur le territoire de Schalkenmehren, et c'est un double maar, composé du lac maar occidental et du maar sec oriental. Tous deux se sont formés il y a environ 10 500 ans à la suite d'une explosion de vapeur volcanique. Le lac dans la partie occidentale du maar varie en diamètre entre 500 et 575 m et atteint jusqu'à 21 m de profondeur. L'altitude du maar est de 420,8 m au-dessus du niveau de la mer. Il occupe le plus jeune des deux cratères de maar. La partie orientale du maar est occupée par une tourbière haute. Le maar est un plan d'eau méromictique en raison de sa stratification.
