Langburkersdorf est un ancien village autonome, qui a rejoint la nouvelle commune de Hohwald à partir de 1994 et est devenu un quartier de Neustadt en Sassonie dans le district de la Suisse saxonne-Osterzgebirge en 2007.
Le village est situé à l'est de Neustadt. Il se trouve entre le Hohwald et le versant nord des monts de grès d'Elbe. Au sud, il est bordé par l'élévation de l'Ungers, au nord par le Hohwald, à l'ouest par Neustadt et à l'est par la frontière avec la République tchèque. La Polenz et certains de ses affluents y coulent.
