La gare de Lindow est située dans la ville du même nom, au nord du Brandebourg. Elle se trouve sur la ligne ferroviaire Löwenberg–Flecken Zechlin, qui se termine déjà aujourd'hui à la gare de Rheinsberg. L'ensemble de la gare, composé du bâtiment d'accueil, d'un petit poste de signalisation, d'un entrepôt de marchandises, d'un bâtiment pour le stockage des animaux et du pavage, est classé monument historique. Alors que le bâtiment d'accueil n'est actuellement pas utilisé, une crèche se trouve dans l'ancien entrepôt de marchandises. Operativement, la station est aujourd'hui uniquement un point d'arrêt.
La gare se situe sur la ligne ferroviaire Löwenberg-Rheinsberg à environ 1,5 kilomètre au sud du centre-ville de Lindow, dans le district d'Ostprignitz-Ruppin. De 1930 à 1946, la ligne de la Stechlinseebahn se détachait à Lindow vers Schulzendorf.
