L'ancienne gare de Hilders est située à Hilders dans le district de Fulda en Hesse. Elle était autrefois un point de croisement de trois lignes vers Götzenhof, Vacha et Wüstensachsen.
Le 12 décembre 1890, le tronçon Bieberstein – Hilders de la ligne de chemin de fer appelée « Rhönbahn » reliant Götzenhof à Hilders a été inauguré en grande pompe. Un semestre plus tard, le 1er juin 1891, l'extension de la ligne en direction nord le long de la vallée de l'Ulster jusqu'à Tann a également été ouverte à la circulation. En 1909, la connexion a été réalisée avec la ligne de l'Ulstertal entre Geisa et Tann. Cela a permis une liaison directe vers la vallée de la Werra, qui s'était développée en un pôle de l'industrie du potassium.
