Hadol est située à 12 km au sud d'Épinal, entre Arches et Xertigny. Le relief de petites collines, faisant partie des monts Faucilles, est parcouru par divers ruisseaux rejoignant soit la Moselle, soit le Coney. La ligne de partage des eaux mer du Nord-Méditerranée traverse donc le village. Les ruisseaux, le Cône, les Nauves, Rainjumenil, Buzegney, la Niche, constituent souvent les limites du territoire communal. Hadol ne compte pas moins d’une quarantaine d’étangs dont deux sont communaux.
