Thann [tan] est une commune française située dans l'aire d'attraction de Mulhouse et faisant partie de la Collectivité européenne d'Alsace , en région Grand Est.
Thann est située dans le sud-ouest du département du Haut-Rhin, à l'entrée de la vallée de la Thur, au pied des Vosges. Elle est distante de 121 km de Strasbourg, préfecture de la région, de 43 km de Colmar, préfecture du département et de 21 km de Mulhouse. À 6,5 km de Thann se trouve la commune de Cernay.
