Montluçon est une commune française située dans le centre de la France, sous-préfecture du département de l'Allier dans la région Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes.Ses 34 361 habitants , appelés les Montluçonnais et Montluçonnaises , en font la première commune du département, devant Vichy et Moulins. La ville est le centre d'une aire urbaine de 76 765 habitants.
