La Flèche est une commune française située dans le sud du département de la Sarthe en région Pays de la Loire. Sous-préfecture du département, chef-lieu d'arrondissement et de canton, siège de la communauté de communes du Pays Fléchois, elle compte 14 858 habitants selon le dernier recensement de 2019 , ce qui en fait la deuxième commune sarthoise la plus peuplée. Implantée sur le Loir, au cœur du Maine angevin, la commune est marquée par un réseau hydrographique très dense.
