Oltingue est une commune française située dans la circonscription administrative du Haut-Rhin et, depuis le 1er janvier 2021, dans le territoire de la Collectivité européenne d'Alsace, en région Grand Est.
C'est un village du canton de Ferrette situé dans le sud-est du Sundgau, à 2,5 km de la frontière suisse. Une grande partie de la population est constituée de frontaliers qui travaillent en Suisse, surtout dans la région de Bâle.
