Le château de Castelnaud est un château médiéval situé à environ 10 kilomètres de Sarlat, à Castelnaud-la-Chapelle. La plus ancienne mention du château date du XIIIe siècle. Il a joué un rôle dans la croisade contre les Cathares et la guerre de Cent Ans avec l'Angleterre. Après le Moyen Âge, le château a été lentement abandonné et, depuis la Révolution française, il est devenu une ruine. Le château abrite un musée où de nombreux aspects de la guerre médiévale sont exposés, tels que de vraies catapultes, des épées et des armures.
