Vers 1905, le sport commençait à prendre ses marques en France. Ainsi, dans le parc thermal de Vittel furent installés un golf mais également les premiers jeux de boules appelés "Jeu du Cochonnet".
Dès 1922, la Société des Eaux créa de magnifiques terrains de jeux dans un boulodrome à proximité de la Roseraie, suscitant l'admiration des boulistes Français, Suisses et Italiens.
Chaque année en été, 2 associations font vivre le boulodrome de Vittel par l'organisation de concours de pétanque et de boules lyonnaise. Le boulodrome est en accès libre dans le parc pour les amateurs d'un jour ou de toujours !
Pour les amateurs d'un jour, touristes, vacanciers, curistes, pour jouer entre amis ou en famille, le boulodrome est en accès libre dans le parc thermal.
