Il s’agit d’un itinéraire d’entrée et de sortie de 68 km de montée puis de descente. La montée est difficile, mais il y a deux récompenses pour ceux qui sont prêts à l’affronter: l’incroyable paysage rocheux et alpin et le retour. Notre destination est l’ancienne station de ski du Haut Asco sur une route en partie construite par les légionnaires étrangers dans les années 1960.
Je vous recommande fortement d’en faire une excursion d’une journée. Mettez tous les efforts dans la montée, puis revenez en arrière en vous arrêtant pour nager dans la rivière à l’un des nombreux endroits proches de la route et peut-être avoir quelque chose à manger et à boire dans le village d’Asco.
