Porthleven est une ville et une paroisse civile des Cornouailles, au Royaume-Uni. Il s'agit du port le plus méridional de Grande-Bretagne.
À l'origine, Porthleven est un petit village de pêcheurs de Mount's Bay, en Cornouailles, établi dans une anse formée par l'embouchure du petit fleuve côtier Leven au XIVe siècle. Le nom Porthleven dériverait des mots corniques Porth, signifiant port, et Elvan, du nom de saint Elvan, évangélisateur des Cornouailles, ou encore Leven, signifiant terrain plat.
