L'église de Taxiarchis est la pittoresque petite église du port de Vathi. Le 6 septembre, c'est ici chaque année une grande fête pour célébrer le saint patron de l'église et aussi celui du monastère voisin situé un peu plus haut avec un nom similaire (Monastère de Taxiorchon). Desde l'église de Vathi, vous pouvez voir le soleil se lever par le col de Katsistria et ensuite suivre son ascension vers le sud le long de la pente de la montagne Katsistria.
