Vous trouverez relativement peu de dépôts de cendres volcaniques sur cette île. Mais vous pouvez les apercevoir ici et là, comme à cet endroit. La raison pour laquelle vous ne trouvez pas beaucoup de ces cendres volcaniques est que les éruptions volcaniques n'étaient pas très explosives à Méthana. La plupart du temps, la lave s'écoulait simplement, sans explosions violentes de cendres et de gaz.
