Le 10 février 2011, le Fairchild Metroliner III effectuant le vol Manx2 7100 reliant Belfast, en Irlande du Nord, à Cork, en République d’Irlande, avec dix passagers et deux membres d'équipage à bord, s'écrase lors de sa troisième tentative d'atterrissage à l'aéroport de Cork dans des conditions de brouillard. Six personnes, dont les deux pilotes, sont décédées. Six passagers ont survécu mais ont été blessés, dont quatre sérieusement.
