La "Tonca" est une tradition annuelle unique à Trento, qui se déroule pendant les Feste Vigiliane fin juin. Lors de cet événement, un homme politique local ou une personnalité publique est enfermé dans une cage et plongé dans la rivière Adige comme une punition humoristique pour des crimes présumés. Cet événement, faisant partie de la "Cour de Pénitence", est une réinterprétation satirique des punitions médiévales et sert de manière légère à tenir des individus responsables tout en célébrant le saint patron de la ville, Saint Vigilio.
