Camporosso est un village dans la Val Canale et fait partie de la commune de Tarvisio. Le village compte environ 650 habitants. La grande majorité de la population est multilingue, la langue véhiculaire est dominée par l'allemand carinthien et le slovène.
Camporosso se trouve au pied du Monte Santo di Lussari, où se situe un ancien et important lieu de pèlerinage. Le vieux pèlerinage était particulièrement répandu parmi les Slovènes et les Carinthiens germanophones, et ces dernières décennies sont marquées par l'amitié entre les peuples autrichiens, slovènes et italiens.
