La Piazza Cavallotti est un espace vert réaménagé qui est le protagoniste du chemin piétonnier qui mène de la Piazza dei Miracoli à la Piazza dei Cavalieri, puis continue dans la Via Dini jusqu'à Borgo. La place a été rendue plus grande et plus verte et le chemin piétonnier a été amélioré pour inciter les Pisans et les touristes venant de la Via Santa Maria à traverser la place au lieu de la contourner comme c'était le cas auparavant.
