Cette statue de la Piazza Giacomo Matteotti est une œuvre du sculpteur Vico Consorti.
C'est la fontaine baptismale de la contrada 'drago'. Sienne est composée de 17 contradas ou quartiers.
Il a été réalisé en 1977 et porte l'inscription : "L'amour de Contrada pour l'art de Vico Consorti confie la mémoire des grands Prieurs Mario Calamati et Alberto Rossi aux dragueurs qui naîtront".
Il est situé sur la Piazza Matteotti en face du bureau principal.
Depuis 1970, le Drago est reconnu comme une organisation à but non lucratif en vertu du droit canonique.
