Beuningen) est un petit village dans la commune de Losser, dans la province néerlandaise d'Overijssel. En 2014, le village comptait 985 habitants. Il est situé le long de la rivière Dinkel, dans une région principalement agricole, à un peu plus d'un kilomètre au sud de Denekamp.
Beuningen est connu autour de 1100 sous le nom de Boninge. À partir de 1148, on trouve les variantes Boninghen, Boninchen, Boningem et Boninghem. -Chen, hem ou him signifie maison ; le nom signifie donc maison de, ou descendants de Bono. Il est probable que le Baniningi, qui apparaît vers 900, soit la forme plus ancienne de Boninge.
