Entre Sittard et Geleen se trouve la ville de Munstergeleen, où Joannes Andreas Houben est né le 11 décembre 1821, mieux connu sous le nom de Père Karel van Sint Andries.
En 1954, la grange a été transformée en chapelle sur le lieu de naissance au Geleenbeek. Un endroit où vous pouvez trouver une source de force, que ce soit pour une courte prière, pour allumer une bougie ou pour vous promener dans le jardin.
Depuis octobre 2012, elle abrite également un musée et une boutique vendant des articles religieux.
