Le Château d'Opwetten est une ancienne résidence noble qui se trouvait dans le hameau d'Opwetten à Nuenen.
Historiquement, Nuenen était un village de duc et finit par être directement sous le règne du Roi Philippe II d'Espagne. Ce dernier vendit en 1558 trois seigneuries au jeune Rutger van Berckel. Il s'agissait des seigneuries de Nuenen et Gerwen, Nederwetten et Tongelre.
