La Quatre Cents à l'est de Terhofstedepolder est une polder située au sud-est de Retranchement, faisant partie des Polders de Cadzand, Zuidzande et Nieuwvliet.
On sait que cette polder a été réclamée en 1403, mais elle est probablement beaucoup plus ancienne à l'origine. En effet, il est fait mention d'un nombre d'environ huit « commencements ». Près de la Noordmansweg et de la digue du Waterschip se trouvent en outre une demi-douzaine de « commencements », englobant au total 80 ha, qui faisaient autrefois partie de la Polder Oudeland, mais qui ont ensuite été ajoutés à la Quatre Cents à l'est de Terhofstedepolder.
