Parc transfrontalier Maas-Swalm-Nette

Le sentier de randonnée de Meinvennen est situé à l'est de Roermond dans le parc transfrontalier allemand-néerlandais Maas-Swalm-Nette. Ce parcours varié emprunte des chemins forestiers, traverse des paysages de bruyère avec des tourbières, des forêts marécageuses avec des aulnes et des bouleaux, et longe des tourbières de gagel. Caractéristiques sont les terrasses qui se sont formées au cours de milliers d'années par l'érosion de la vallée fluviatile de la Meuse. Sur les terrasses coulent les deux ruisseaux Rode Beek et Boschbeek, qui se jettent dans la Roer.
