L'Université de Stavanger est une université située à Stavanger, en Norvège. L'UiS a été créée en 2005 lorsque l'ancienne Høgskolen i Stavanger a obtenu le statut universitaire. Elle comptait environ 11 000 étudiants et 1 370 membres du personnel administratif, enseignant et de service en 2017. Elle est organisée en trois facultés, dont deux centres nationaux d'expertise et le Musée d'Archéologie. L'université dispose d'un campus principal situé dans le quartier d'Ullandhaug.
L'Université de Stavanger est actuellement la troisième mieux classée en Norvège en termes de publications de recherche par membre du personnel scientifique. L'université est devenue membre du Consortium Européen des Universités Innovantes en octobre 2012.
