Le Reichsgau Wartheland ou Warthegau, à l'origine appelé « Reichsgau Posen », est une circonscription territoriale allemande constituée à partir de plusieurs territoires polonais annexés par le Reich en 1939.Composé à partir de la province prussienne de Posnanie dévolue à la Pologne en 1919, le Reichsgau Wartheland, parfois nommé Warthegau, est créé le 1er novembre 1939 en application du décret signé par Hitler le 26 octobre 1939 qui organise les territoires polonais échus au Troisième Reich. Couvrant une surface de 43 905 km2 pour 4 693 700 habitants en 1941, le Gau est majoritairement peuplé de Polonais, mais comporte une minorité allemande significative.
