L'église paroissiale de la paroisse, nommée d'après Saint Christophe, a été construite pour remplacer l'ancienne église du monastère bénédictin fondé par l'évêque Hermógio, peut-être au IXe siècle.
L'église présente une architecture simple mais harmonieuse, aux influences baroques. Sur le parvis se dresse un crucifix en granit, le Cruzeiro Paroquial , qui, avec l'église, constitue un monument religieux important dans la région.
