L'Ermita de las Nieves è anche conosciuta come l' Eremo di Nostra Signora della Neve.
L'eremo è dedicato alla Madonna della Neve, una santa popolare nelle tradizioni cattoliche spagnole e latinoamericane. Questo santo è spesso invocato per la protezione contro le calamità naturali e per un buon raccolto . È un luogo di pellegrinaggio per i credenti, soprattutto durante le festività dedicate alla Vergine Maria.
