Il Volkstheater è un teatro costruito nel 1889 secondo i progetti di Hermann Helmer e Ferdinand Fellner nel 7° distretto comunale di Vienna, Neubau, in Neustiftgasse 1, dal 2017: Arthur-Schnitzler-Platz 1. Si trova di fronte al Museo di Storia Naturale, vicino al MuseumsQuartier e a Spittelberg, in Museumstraße, ed è uno dei teatri più grandi del mondo di lingua tedesca. Sotto la direzione di Gustav Manker, il Volkstheater è stato invitato nel 1970 al Theatertreffen di Berlino con CHANGE di Wolfgang Bauer. Sotto la direzione di Kay Voges, ciò è avvenuto nuovamente nel 2022 con ben due produzioni.
