Il castello di Traunegg si trova ai margini della terrazza di Traun, non lontano dalla chiesa parrocchiale a est del comune di Thalheim bei Wels nel distretto di Wels-Land. Fu costruito nel 1577 da Bernhard Jörger von Tollet e successivamente modificato da proprietari successivi in stile barocco. Dopo un ampio restauro dell'edificio a partire dagli anni '80, oggi è utilizzato per scopi residenziali.
