Accompagnati dal suono soave delle 4.948 canne dell'organo della fortezza, il celebre "Heldenorgel", è il momento di lasciarsi l'incantevole cittadina di Kufstein alle spalle. Si raggiunge in treno Unterlangkampfen e si prosegue a piedi sul sentiero che parte a monte della chiesa. Si comincia subito in forte pendenza, recuperando velocemente il dislivello perso nella tappa precedente. Dal rifugio Höhlensteinhaus un sentiero porta sulla cima del Köglhörndl, fantastica vetta panoramica affacciata sulla valle dell'Inn, proseguendo poi in cresta fino all'Hundsalmjoch, 1.637 metri. In prossimità della locanda Alpengasthof Buchacker, a 1.520 metri di quota, si trova una grotta con ghiaccio, stalattiti e stalagmiti, accessibile dall'alto. Un regno sotterraneo tutto da esplorare!
