Un panorama glaciale grandioso ci attende anche in questa tappa. L'alta via Venediger Höhenweg conduce inizialmente verso nord e, dopo una salita piacevole e leggera, raggiunge il Löbbentörl, dove si apre una vista spettacolare sulla valle Frosnitztal e sul Venediger. Dopo aver raggiunto il piano di Salzboden, con l'idilliaco laghetto Salzbodensee, si prosegue lungo il sentiero del ghiacciaio verso est fino a raggiungere il rifugio Venedigerhaus di Innergschlöss. Qui si possono gustare prelibatezze di malga ed è anche possibile pernottare; altrimenti si prosegue ben rifocillati in direzione di Außergschlöss. Stanchi ma felici per le impressioni regalateci dalla natura, raggiungiamo il rifugio Matreier Tauernhaus.
