La chiesa di Saint-Médard fu ceduta intorno al 1175 dai conti di Duras all'ordine ospedaliero di San Giovanni di Gerusalemme.
L'attuale chiesa in stile gotico è stata costruita con materiali locali (argilla e calcare).
Il coro con un'abside semicircolare e, all'esterno, un'innalzamento con due livelli di basse finestre ad arco sotto un'arcata muraria, e il transetto che si apre su due cappelle absidali, mostrano ancora un'influenza romanica.
La costruzione fu completata all'inizio del XIV secolo con le parti alte della navata e del campanile.
Solo le volte delle navate laterali e delle cappelle absidali sono originali. Quelle della navata principale e del transetto risalgono al 1759.
