Il castello è per lo più ancora circondato dall'acqua. Questo castello risale al medioevo. È stato ristrutturato nel XVI secolo e successivamente altre due volte nel XVIII secolo, in parte in stile neoclassico e intorno al 1910 in uno stile storico. Uno dei residenti più famosi fu Carlo di Saint-Omaars, che creò un giardino e una collezione di piante unici.
Dello castello originale è rimasto poco. Solo nelle cantine e nella base muraria anteriore ci sono ancora strati consecutivi di pietra naturale e mattoni. Dopo la Seconda Guerra Mondiale, il castello è stato ristrutturato. Solo lo stemma sulla facciata e alcune targhe funerarie nella grande sala ricordano i nobili residenti.
