Gijverinkhove è un paesino rurale nella provincia belga del West Flanders. Dal 1977 è una frazione di Alveringem. Prima, nel 1971, era già stata annessa a Leisele. Gijverinkhove è stata menzionata per la prima volta nel 1120 come Gibahardinge hofa, presumibilmente significando il cortile di Ghyverinc, in riferimento al proprietario. Nel 1143 si parlava già di una parrocchia di cui il diritto di patronato apparteneva all'Abbazia di Voormezele.
