Vaux-sous-Chèvremont è un comune della provincia belga di Luik e un comune sussidiario di Chaudfontaine situato sulla Vesdre. Fino al 1 gennaio 1977 era un comune autonomo. Vaux-sous-Chèvremont è composto dal villaggio di Vaux, situato sulla Vesdre e con una lunga storia industriale, e Chèvremont, che si trova su una collina strategica sopra Vaux e ospita un'antica roccaforte e abbazia, e l'attuale basilica con monastero, cappella storica e luogo di pellegrinaggio. Il nome completo del villaggio significa quindi: Vaux sotto Chèvremont, per distinguerlo da altri luoghi con il nome Vaux.
