Poiché probabilmente ci sono ancora molti fossili qui a Bernissart sottoterra, un certo Pierre Capront di Stambruges ha avuto l'idea di costruire un parco divertimenti sotterraneo. In questo modo si potrebbe osservare i fossili di creta con dei carrelli. Ha fondato un collettivo: "Recherche des Iguanodons" per raccogliere fondi. Ma sia il governo che i residenti hanno reagito tiepidamente: questi ultimi temevano crolli se si fossero nuovamente scavati iguanodoni. Il finanziamento non è arrivato e il piano è morto silenziosamente.
