Il dominio vacanziero Kosmos era un'area ricreativa con campi da tennis, un campo da calcio, una piscina all'aperto, un hotel con ristorante e sale per feste e i padiglioni giovanili Home Boskant e Home Zeewind.
L'hotel fu costruito nel 1934 come hotel per giovani. Il complesso originale era relativamente piccolo. Negli anni '60 agli '80 era un luogo molto noto per i giovani, campi CM e movimenti giovanili. Questo edificio è stato classificato nel 2004 come monumento protetto.
Il Kosmos era principalmente noto per la sua piscina all'aperto degli anni '60. Nel 2002 la licenza della piscina è stata revocata per problemi di stoccaggio, igiene e "non accessibile ai servizi di emergenza".
Nell'estate del 2009, il dominio Kosmos è stato venduto alla Comunità Fiamminga. Dall'hotel rimane in piedi solo l'edificio principale poiché è patrimonio. Gli altri edifici e la piscina sono stati demoliti.
