Il Poligono Nazionale di Tiro è stato un complesso militare a Schaarbeek dal 1889 al 1963, dove i tiratori della Guardia Civica e dell'esercito potevano effettuare esercitazioni di tiro.
Il ministro Charles Rogier, che in Belgio aveva anche sostenuto i piani per una prima linea ferroviaria, e il sindaco Eugène Dailly di Schaarbeek hanno svolto un ruolo importante nella realizzazione del piano del 1859 per creare nel presente piazzale Dailly un poligono di tiro nazionale permanente. In questo modo rispondevano all'entusiasmo che esisteva nel giovane Belgio per lo sport del tiro.
