Limburgs Landschap vzw sta gradualmente trasformando le foreste di conifere impiantate in un bosco naturale di querce e betulle, attraverso diradamenti. Nelle piccole aree aperte che si sono create, le piantine di quercia o betulla hanno l'opportunità di germogliare e gradualmente crescere fino a formare un bosco di querce e betulle.
