Il podere a est del castello di Forreist è composto da diversi elementi distinti. La casa colonica, con facciata in stile impero, è unica per il patrimonio agricolo delle Fiandre. Il fienile è un esempio ben conservato del XVIII secolo. Le stalle formano il lato nord di un orto murato e ospitano un'aranciera. L'accesso all'orto murato è affiancato da due piloni che rimandano alla lsistempel sull'isola egiziana di Philae nella pianura meridionale del Nilo. Nel cortile del podere e nel lotto abitativo adiacente sono stati preservati, con una tipica disposizione, anche un forno, un piccolo stabile e le fondamenta di un vecchio scivolo sulla muraglia del fossato.
